Essiac Tea

Essiac Tea has been used for many years by the Indians in North America, the name Essiac has been taken from Rene Caisse, pronounced "Reen Case"

In the 1890's a medicine man gave a English lady a recipe for herbal tea to help with her disease. the English lady took the advise from the medicine man and 30 years later she passed it on the the Canadin nurse Rene Caisse.

Over the next 50-60 years Rene Caisse devoted her life to help other people using Essiac Tea and opened up her own clinic. In 1938 a petition was signed by over 55,000 supporters of her work to allow her to continue treating her patients. A bill was introduced for Rene to continue treating her patients in Ontario but the bill failed to pass by only three votes.

Battling on, Rene continued her work helping many patients.
